Joann, our founder was diagnosed with Stage 1, aggressive clear cell ovarian cancer in 2008 when she was 12 weeks pregnant with her second child.
Navigating the cancer journey for her was indeed very challenging and almost ‘treacherous’ as she had to deal with several operations, chemotherapy and blood transfusions, all while hoping that her unborn baby would remain safe.
Throughout her journey, she was blessed to be supported by her husband, family and friends, who made a great difference. Now, she hopes to make that support, love and community available to other cancer patients and caregivers because she believes, braving is done better, together.
